A change in direction for Portmarnock
Portmarnock Golf Club is often ranked in the world’s top 50 courses, steeped in tradition with a great reputation. Like with all clubs the continual challenge is to modernise but retain the key traditions and value that make up the ‘Portmarnock experience’.
Over the past eight years, CMM has worked closely with Portmarnock GC across a broad range of roles as the club has continued its journey.
The relationship first started when the Club Professional at the time outlined his retirement following a number of years at the club. This provided an opportunity for Portmarnock to explore the potential options that were open to them.
CMM advised Portmarnock through the process helping them define the new position, employment structure and manage the onboarding transition.
From there, CMM has assisted with wider roles including a General Manager, Head Greenkeeper and Clubhouse Manager ensuring that the hires fit with the club's values and vision for the future.
