Primary Purpose of Role:
- Direct and oversee all of Elie Sports Club’s facilities, resources and promote participation in its year-round activities, which include golf (9-hole course, driving range, 18 hole putting green), tennis, padel, bowls and the retail operation.
- Play a key role in delivering the Sports Club’s operational, financial and strategic goals.
- Maintain a welcoming, visitor and member-focused experience.
- Represent the Sports Club’s values and engage with its stakeholders and the community.
- Manage sports coaching across golf and racquet sports.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to inspire the teams that provide the Sports Club services to achieve the highest level of performance and quality.
- Superb interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate easily and effectively.
- General management experience in organising and managing the day-to-day running of a Sports Club, including the management of financial resources and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and to present creative solutions and ideas to the Committee.
- A talent for marketing, with experience in developing and implementing effective marketing plans.
- IT literacy, including the use of social media, and experience in using customary sports online booking systems and similar databases.
- An appreciation of the traditions and cultures that make a successful members’ club.
