Tandridge Golf Club, a premier private members club in Surrey, is seeking an experienced and driven Deputy Course Manager to join their dedicated Greenkeeping team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a championship-quality course and support the development and maintenance of one of the finest golfing estates in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Course Manager in delivering high standards of turf care, woodland management, and estate presentation.
  • Lead and supervise the Greenkeeping team, setting clear objectives and fostering a positive, motivated work culture.
  • Deputise for the Course Manager during absences.
  • Assist in planning and executing course projects, maintenance schedules, and tournament preparation.
  • Contribute to budgeting, Health & Safety compliance, and staff development.

Person Specification

  • Highly proficient in golf course maintenance with leadership experience.
  • Skilled in staff supervision, operations management, and team development.
  • Strong communicator, organised, detail-oriented, and flexible.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and during unsociable hours when needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Sportsturf (or equivalent).
  • PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying certificates (essential).
  • Chainsaw, irrigation systems, and tournament prep experience (preferred).
  • Ohio State University Turfgrass Program experience advantageous.
  • Health & Safety training or willingness to undertake.
