The Berkshire Golf Club has appointed Colt Mackenzie McNair (CMM) to assist them in the
recruitment of an Operations Manager. This is a newly created role. Founded in 1928, The
Berkshire is a traditional Member’s Club and home to two Herbert Fowler courses, both widely
regarded and ranked in the Top 100. The Club has always had a special affinity with Amateur golf,
and it has hosted many major events over the years. Annually it plays host to The Berkshire Trophy
and The Astor Salver.
Reporting to the Secretary, and part of the Senior Management Team, the Operations Manager will
ensure the efficient daily running of the club. The successful individual will continue to drive
initiatives to improve the club’s overall offering to its members and guests.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Overall management of all Clubhouse and Hospitality services.
- Day to day delivery of all aspects of Member and Visitor golf.
- Management of the property and facilities.
- Developing and implementing a world class customer service philosophy.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years management experience ideally gained within a
leisure or hospitality environment.
